History

Zakk Waleko is a designer who builds brands that invite you in with warmth, nostalgia, and curiosity. His eye was first sharpened in the professional sports world with D.C. United, then shaped within the craft-driven halls of Spaeth Hill, and further refined with the kindred spirits at NJI media.

His compass turned toward hospitality and real estate—where place, story, and identity intertwine. Through his work with General Design Co., Streetsense, and his own independent practice, he has explored how design can welcome, inspire, and endure.

His portfolio moves between digital experiences and tactile identities, campaigns that speak loudly and details that whisper softly. Having done work with: Apartments.com, the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, the José Andrés Group, Meta, Intuit, Rosetta Stone, Major League Soccer, and Marriott International.
